Introduction
For acquisition of large data sets or long term experiments it is recommended that you use the available D: drive. By doing so acquisition and saving is not limited by the network speed. Transfer of the files can be initiated through our Data Mover solution.
-
-
To achieve optimal performance we recommend to save to D:\automatic_transfer\files. Saving directly to the files.core.uzh.ch file server is possible but not recommended. USB drives are also blocked.
-
Before you start a Data Acquisition, you need to generate a user specific folder for the transfer script.
-
Create a new folder with your core name e.g. n.schilling in "D:\automatic_transfer\files".
-
We reccomend creating a subfolder e.g. "Example Experiment" and finally save in there your experiment.
-
Create as usually a "ZEN Connect Project" for autosaving all your acquired data.
-
Adjust the Project Path in ZEN Connect to the new folder with your core name e.g. n.schilling in "D:\automatic_transfer\files".
-
Once you are done, please remove your sample and clean the microscope appropriately.
-
-
-
Do this step after the Software is closed.
-
This step can be done by launching Citrix Workspace directly on the instrument computer but also from everywhere else where you can access Citrix (Citrix guides).
-
Open Citrix Workspace or use (browser version)and log on with your core credentials (same as microscope login).
-
Select and launch the application "CORE Datamover".
-
Select the desired Datamover, in this case "CLSM - ZEISS 900 (Schlieren)" and click "Request".
-
You will get a confirmation that your request has been created. Your transfer job will be queued within 15 minutes.
-
Once the data is transfered you will have access within your data drive as usual.
-
If you do not receive an email after your request or if you need further support, please contact us at it@zmb.uzh.ch
