In our wet labs, wear a laboratory coat, and protective goggles if necessary.

Store all items not needed in the lab (coats or other belongings) in the dedicated lockers on H floor or in office spaces.

The staff lab is strictly for staff use only (Y42H82). Do not remove any items from this area. There are exceptions for which you will receive personal instruction (e.g. vibratome).

Always maintain a clean and organized workspace.

After completing your work:

Clean your bench thoroughly.

Remove all personal or unnecessary equipment—no items should be left behind permanently.

If you have used items from other workplaces, please bring them back after finishing your work.

If you store items at ZMB, label all items clearly and legibly. Every label must include:

Your full name
-
A clear description of the contents

The date the item was prepared of placed

Report to the staff of ZMB if equipment is defective.

For procedures lasting for more than 4 hours, the ZMB staff must be notified at least one week in advance.

If a supply item is empty or nearly empty, inform any staff member of ZMB.

Use only bottles which are placed in the hoods and especially assigned for dedicated waste purposes.

Do not collect liquid waste in our laboratory bottles intended for buffers/solutions.

If a waste bottle is full or nearly full, ask any staff member of ZMB for further instructions.

If a yellow waste box is full, ask any staff member of ZMB for further instructions.

Routinely check your stored equipment, samples, and solutions. Our labs are not intended for long-term storage of items.

Please remove samples from our labs that you no longer need.
