  1. Update the status of the objective at the list, commenting on new developments such as sending receiving, etc...

    • Update the status of the objective on the FileMaker

    • Save the quotes in the following directory for each system Z:\zmboffice\Administration\Systempark\Reparaturen_Wartung_Service

    • Check if we have a spare objective and place it instead of the defective one -also update this on the objectives list, as well as on the instrument's status bar and filemaker. If not, inlcude the request of a loaner objective to the company in the next step

    • Send email to Leica describing the problem to services.dach@leica-microsystems.com. The email should contain the serial number of the system that the objective belongs to, and the specifics of the objective (type of objective, magnification, etc...)

    • LEICA will send you a case number, a partially filled decontamination form, and and will tell you where to send the objective to, based on the damage

    • Fill decontamination form. Examples of the forms are here: Z:\zmboffice\Administration\Systempark\info geräte\Light microscopes\Objektive\Repairs

    • Pack the objective in the boxes that we have in the cabinet in H04, with the decontamination certificate in a plastic envelope outsde the box, and weight the item. Label templates (Label_for_box_Avery-Zweckform_L4734) can be found here:

    • Z:\zmboffice\Administration\Systempark\info geräte\Light microscopes\Objektive\Repairs.

    • Email leica to notify them of the shipment, attaching the decontamination certificate and stating the weight of the item

    • Ship the item making sure that you get a tracking number, which you can update on the objectives list on teams -also include that the objective has been shipped

    • Check if we have a spare objective and place it instead of the defective one -also update this on the objectives list, as well as on the instrument's status bar and filemaker. If not, inlcude the request of a loaner objective to the company in the next step

    • For ZEISS send an email to service.ch@zeiss.com explaining the issue and fill the decontamination form Examples here: Z:\zmboffice\Administration\Systempark\Reparaturen_Wartung_Service\2023\Zeiss_LSM980_Airy\broken 63X

    • Follow up with the companies of the status of the repair in the span of two months. It isually takes AT LEAST about that long to get the objectives back

    • Once the objective is back, update the filemaker and the objectives list

    • Place the objective back on the system, making sure that

    • Test the image quality

    • Adjust parfocality
